When you live in Nepal, there's not really an ordinary field trip, so I was thrilled to accompany R on his class outing to a village just outside of Kathmandu. As part of their "Explore Nepal" program, his class teamed up with a class in this village to learn about organic farming. This was the first visit and the kids did various teambuilding activities. They will go back a few times and in the Spring they will stay in these villager's homes for a few nights. These kids really stepped up and did a great job, on both sides. I was reminded as a parent that these types of experiences are exactly why we're doing this. Moments like these make it all worth it.
