Saturday is a special day

Our Sabbath here is on Saturday. It comes a little quicker but we've adjusted. We had the Sabbath on Friday in Djibouti, so this is our third day. Odd. I must admit I've gotten used to and now really like having a day off following the Sabbath. So, our Sunday is Saturday and Saturday is Sunday. Try teaching that to a 5-year-old.

We belong to a lovely little LDS 'branch' (a small congregation) here in Kathmandu. I will post more on these dear people another time when I know them better. For now, let me just say that they have welcomed us with open arms and hearts. They have many challenges but are happy, genuine, faithful people. It will be our privelege to serve among them.

That being said, church has been an adjustment that is still taking some getting used to. It's the same but different, different but the same. I took a few photos one day just for fun. Many more to follow.

Oh, and now that I have just been called as Primary President...I will be loving all of these sweet children as my own. Wow.

We are also blessed to have two humanitarian couples here. They do so much good. We went to one of their homes for dinner and played badminton -- the birdie had actual chicken feathers. Cool!
