Our driver started work today. Yes, I have a driver. If it feels weird writing it, believe me, it feels weird living it. This is a guy we pay full-timeto take us in our own car wherever we need to go. We pay him to navigate traffic, to avoid obstacles, to keep us safe. In many countries it is not necessary to have a driver, and perhaps some would argue here it's not either (but no one I've met so far). So, we have a driver.
But it still feels weird. Really weird.
Today we got to try it out. He took us to the kids' school so they could look around (45-90 minutes one-way. Frown). He took us to Phora so we could swim.
He washes the car, fills it with gas, unloads my groceries, buckles in my children, closes my door, and today even fetched A's shoes that had fallen under the seat into no-man's land. He is waiting with a smile, at the ready. I could like this (and would like it more if I just didn't have to be so dependent on him...)
This means I get to take lots of photos while we drive around. Here are a few random shots. I like random.
This is some sort of a tractor engine contraption pulling part of a car filled with several men. Wish I could have gotten a better snap.
