Our children have looked forward to visiting our friends in Jakarta ever since we parted ways in D.C. in May. We spent several days with them and enjoyed every minute. We did do some cool things, like get pedis/manis, walk through some fun malls, go on an animal safari, and such. For $5 we got premium seats to the movies, where you get reclining seats, a nice blanket, and food delivered to your seat. It was great, though I was so comfy I slept through most of Sherlock Holmes. But mostly, just like with family, we just hung out. We ate well, visited long, swam, and just enjoyed watching the kids play. Bringing the new year was loud and exciting, even with 8:00 a.m. church the next day. The only down side was that we had to leave...
